Battery and charger tester- 12 V

What is this BGS dynamos and battery tester? 

The dynamos and battery tester has been designed to test batteries and charging systems. This product is ideal for professionals and individuals who want quality equipment at a lower cost.

Battery voltage check : 

1. Switch on the ignition, do not start the engine, turn on the main lights and leave on for about 1 minute.
2. Turn off lights and contact. Steps 3 and 4 should be done immediately after step 2.
3. Connect the red measuring wire to the positive battery pole and the black measuring wire to the negative battery pole.
4. The battery status can be seen on the battery test LEDs and should be analyzed as follows:

• Red LED on, charge battery and perform a new test. If the red LED is lit, even after a new charge and test as described in points 1 to 4, there is a battery fault.
• Yellow LED on, battery OK, must be charged.
• Green LED on, battery charging status OK, no further action required.

Charging Voltage Check :

1. Turn on the ignition, start the engine and let it run at idle.
2. Connect the red measuring wire to the positive battery pole and the black measuring wire to the negative battery pole.
3. Turn on the headlights and increase speed for a short time for about 1 sec. at 2000 t/min
4. The load system status can be seen on the LEDs related to the dynamos test and should be analyzed as follows:

• Red LED on, charging voltage too high (for example, defective dynamo regulator).
• Green LED on, charging system OK, no further action required.
• Yellow LED on, charging system OK, check battery.
• If only one LED is lit for the battery test, there is a fault in the charging system, for example on the V-belts, dynamo regulator, Lima coals or wiring.
